Question I have... Chocolate bar recipe from Nutrisystem-put in fridge, in paper liner? Hoping for any comment. My 2nd question... I have been fighting with salad dressing the last 6 months. I have spent more money trying to find something I like. Most fat free dressing have a funny taste to me.

I have found the solution. Fat free southwest veggie dip. 30 calories for 2 TBL it is awesome. It is thicker so I use less than 2 TBL and it makes me crave my salads..

Just thought I would share..

A tip for using salad dressings - with dressing on the side, dip tip of fork into dressing and then into salad. This minimizes the amount used and still allows you the flavor of the dressing; you'll be amazed at how little dressing it takes to make a salad tasty...

Check out some dressing alternatives as well. I have found several marinades that are fat free (especially asian flavors). Because they are marinades you don't need very much to get all the flavor out of them. Just toss your salad super good and beware the sodium levels..

I didn't have any FF dressing the other day but I did have some spicy hummus from Trader Joes. It was AWESOME on a salad, very creamy, spicy. I have to compare the nutrition facts but I'm sure there is a good amount of protein in there as it's made with garbanzo beans and just some spices and a little olive oil. I figured it's primarily a vegetable rather than a glob of mayonaise or oil. So, I am going to try to makes some FF hummus myself and see how it goes.. there are loads of different hummus recipes..

I was also thinking some avacado "mushed up" with some spices (like guacamole) would make a relatively heathly dressing. I know avocado does have fat though....

Scratch that hummus idea. I just read that peas, corn, beans, chickpeas are a carbohydrate that only men can have on their plan. Now that's just not fair! I wonder about shelled soybeans (edame?) I love them in salad. are they a no-no too? A vegatable isn't a vegatable I guess..

My favorites are Kraft Free Catalina, Ken's Steakhouse FF Raspberry Walnut, and Wishbone's spritzers (like 1 calorie per spray and pretty good)...

Thanks, Michelle. I have used that on my veggies in the past(and LOVED it)but never thought to put it on salad. I'm about to run to the store, lol...
