I just tried my first L&G meal using Egg Beaters. I made an omelette and put green pepper and mushrooms in it as the 'green'. According to the Medifast quickstart guide, the portion of Egg Beaters as the lean is 2 cups. That made a HUGE omelette and I honestly cannot eat it all! Has anyone else had this problem? At first I thought maybe I measured wrong, then when I recorded it in my meal log, the calories came out correct according to what the egg beaters carton said it would be. I never thought I'd complain about having too much to eat!..

I haven't had the egg beaters yet, but if it were too much for me to eat, I would probably split it up and eat an omelet for breakfast and one for dinner. Sometimes I do that with my other proteins so I don't feel deprived...

Split it or add lf cheese to drop the eggbeater amount...

Most people who choose to use eggbeaters as their lean separate it in 2 meals, 1 cup for breakfast or lunch, 1 cup for dinner. I personally love cheese so I simply use 1 cup of eggbeaters with 1/3 cup of part-skim mozzarella. It still makes a really bit omelet...

You are not alone. The first and only time I used egg beaters as lean portion it was way too much. Plus I had added my green to it as well which was 1.5 cups of peppers. I ate like half of it and saved the rest for later. Never again haha...

Thanks for all your comments! I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking it was way too much! The ideas to split it into two meals, or to replace one cup of egg beaters for some cheese are great ideas and I will definitely take that advice next time...

Save it for when you are extra hungry. Its nice once in awhile to have more food than you want on your plate.

Today I brought one 3.5 ounce can of tuna with my alloted salad dressing and some cherry tomatoes for lunch. Then for dinner I had one cup of egg beaters with two serving of green sauted into it, another nice size meal. Wish I would have thought of this during the first few weeks when I was so hungry...

I split mine up! I have one cup of egg beaters first thing in the morning with mushrooms and jalepenos. Then I have 5 oz of.

Chicken for dinner with the rest of my veggies.

I feel eating this way keeps me full threw out the day! I love starting my morning with a warm protein...

If you have 1 cup of EggBeaters for breakfast, you will need to have 4 ounces of chicken with 1 healthy fat to meet these requirements...

I normally make my Eggbeaters or Egg whites into a frittata with peppers, spinach, etc. and chicken. I saute my vegetables with 4 oz of chicken, put them in a casserole dish and cover with the one cup of eggs, then bake until the eggs are firm. Even with only one cup of the Eggbeaters, this is a HUGE meal and completely satisfying. I like to have these if I exercised a lot earlier in the day...

Yeah, I almost always mix in some cheese, or sometimes do 1 cup of eggbeaters and 3 MSF veggie sausage links or something like that. Even 1 cup of eggbeaters is a lot for me, especially when mixed in with veggies...

I know some people think mixing your leans is less than ideal, but I tend to naturally prefer some of the leanest options anyway (never been much of one for red meat or pork) and a lot of those are just big for me, so I mix or split pretty often. As long as I make a note for the ratio, and how much healthy fat I need, it seems to be going okay,..

Yeah today I'm having the 2 cups of egg beaters myself as I wanna get rid of this eggbeaters I have been sitting in the fridge for along time now lol...but I'm going to be eating 1/2 cup at a time and have four mini meals today outta them and each bowl will have a lite lc cheese mixed in it lol..but still taste geat but filling!!!.

Then this weekend I'm going to makemy first frittata so I'm excited about that :0)..
