My first question is: Can't connect with with MYSql sever. What to do? I'm not developpin locally. I'm using Godaddy + Dre?.

My next question is: I had a HostGator registered at Netsol (bought on the drop last year) which I decided not to renew. I just let it drop and it went through the Namejet aftermarket. It must have sold as I've received an email from Namejet saying that my percentage of the sale was $xx. (nice and unexpected..).

Does anyone know what the percentage is that Namejet gives? I'd be curious to know what the price was that Namejet got at auction...

It's not namejet, it's netsol that does this which is an actually pretty cool thing.

It was the same when netsol was partnered with snapnames.

I've had quite a few names that I let go that were backordered and netsol sent me a check. I believe it's for 15%. Someone correct me if Im wrong...

It's nice.. but they should inform the owner prior to auctioning the HostGator name..

Anyway, they're better than godaddy, you won't get a penny from your expired HostGator name sold in TDNam.....

15% of the Net Proceeds if the HostGator is registered with a NSI Reseller..

20% of the Net Proceeds directly through NSI.

14.) "(i) if you registered the HostGator name with Network Solutions directly through our Web site, you will be eligible to receive twenty percent (20%) of the Net Proceeds received by us from our third party vendor as a result of a Direct Transfer; and (ii) if you registered the HostGator name with Network Solutions through a third party agent (such as your ISP, for example), you will be eligible to receive fifteen percent (15%) of the Net Proceeds received by us from our third party vendor as a result of a Direct Transfer. You acknowledge and agree that the Direct Transfer process may be facilitated through a single Direct Transfer Customer, or through a brief auction involving multiple parties who are interested in the HostGator name. For purposes of this paragraph, "Net Proceeds" shall mean the total fees paid to us by our third party vendor as a result of a Direct Transfer, less any registry fees, credit card charge-backs, processing and check fees, and other costs or fees associated with the Direct Transfer of the HostGator name. You agree that we shall have no obligation to pay you, and you shall have no right to receive, any percentage of the Net Proceeds unless, within ninety (90) days after the date of our Direct Transfer Notification, you first provide us with the name, address and related information requested by us (including, but not limited to, a Form W-9, if applicable) in our Direct Transfer Notification. We cannot guarantee, and we make no representation or promise, that any Direct Transfer will occur with respect to any particular HostGator name." NSI service agreement...

Thanks for the info Yofie. Well, finally a plus for having a Netsol registered domain!..

Yup. This has been done for quite some time. I believe even Netsol had told specific customers it would happen, I remember talking with someone who believed he would get a fortunate after his names expired and sold on Snapnames. I think he pocketed a few hundred instead of a few thousand if he had just sold it himself.

Justin..
