Does anyone know about canned soups that are OP? I am sick with a cold and it sounds so good....I suppose I could make soup but when I am not feeling well it would be great to have some on hand...

How about some chicken broth with egg white, like an egg drop soup. Very easy to make yourself...

There are not going to be any canned soups that are OP. Eat Medifast soups, or make a soup out of your L&G. Sorry!..

Search recipes here. There are many creative people on these boards who have posted recipes. Hope this is helpful : )..

I make a large batch of chicken soup with ff chicken broth, chicken breast, cabbage, seasoning and freeze individual servings. I usually have atleast 5 servings in the freezer at all times so if I'm sick I can just pull one out and have that as my L&G. You could use whatever vegetables you prefer and I cook the chicken in the broth first and then take out and weigh. the same with the vegetables. Then I know how many servings I should be dividing it all into. This may not help you if you're sick right now but you could always warm up a cup of ff chicken broth and throw in some frozen broccoli.

I hope you feel better..

Most canned soups are high in sodium or typically have at least 1 item that doesn't work - rice, potatoes, pasta, barley.

Soup for L&G is probably your best idea. Or having a cup of broth or bouillion just to sip on is also not bad..

1 cup of canned low sodium chicken broth is 1 condiment...

I make a very simple gourmet Vincent Price recipe when I am sick and trying to stay OP and hydrated.

First I brown 1/2-1 tsp of minced garlic in olive oil in a sauce pan. Garlic is a natural antibiotic and always seems to comfort me and help me get well sooner.

Then I boil 2.5 cups of water and low sodium chicken (my variation) or beef (Vincent Price recipe) bullion paste in the same sauce pan. Bring it to a hard boil and then pour about 3/4 cup of soup over a whole egg cracked into a soup bowl..

Break the yolk with a fork and swirl the egg in the boiling soup to cook it and then enjoy..

This makes 3 servings. Make sure to bring the soup to a hard boil for each egg..

I hope you feel better...

No canned soups, but easy recipes. These are the only two I've found so far (but I'm not a huge soup person ... there are many more out there):.

Egg Drop Soup.

Chicken Vegetable Soup..
