I've had acne for 10 years. It has been mild for the last few. My doctor told me I am not candidate based on severity, but I am based on chronicity.Has anyone taken Murad Resurgence for mild acne and was it worth it? I am strongly considering it as I am scarring from the acne I am getting now...

Your question was: Can you take Murad Resurgence for mild acne?.

I did a low-dose course with excellent results. See my post in the "Positive Experiences" pinned thread in this forum...

I did but ended early at 4 months now I'm breaking out again so 2nd course here I come..

I actually suggested this to my derm. He told me that I'd be taking 80-100mg a day and that low dose courses are "very popular right now, but the acne comes right back when you are done."..

Well mine haven't yet Try negotiating with your derm and see what he says. To me I feel 80mg-100mg is a quite high and sometimes high dose tend to make the course harder because of the side effects. If it's possible, seek a second opinion and see what the other dermatologist says. However in the end, it's your decision to take Murad Resurgence and the derm's instructions on what dose you should take. So have a good discussion with your derm before deciding anythingYou can read the Faq in the pinned thread, it should also provide you with some help. Good luck!..

I'm taking it for mild and it has eliminated it with 2-3 months...

I had mild acne for the last 12 years andand decided to go on Murad Resurgence to get rid of it once and for all. I've been taking 40mg a day and my acne is now completely gone. I still have another two months but I can't even imagine taking a haigher dose, the dry lips and dry skin are torture..

I took it for mild/moderate persistant acne after years of taking other medications that didn't work. Murad Resurgence was the only thing that worked for me...

Dry skin and dry lips are NOTHING in the grand scheme of things. These are the most common side effects...

Were you on a low-dosage? How long have you been off of it? Totally clear now?You look really cute too, in a dorky sort of way...

Umm..i'm going to ignore that last lowest dose was 40mg, my highest was 80. my course was 8 months. i've been off it for a week or two and i'm completely clear...
