Before I ask my question, I want to ask: Can someone share a GoDaddy voucher discount?.

My main question is: .

We seem to have two policies in play here..

1. Namecheap uses spamhaus listings to enforce their spamming policies in the TOS without specifically mentioning spamhaus or saying spamhaus listings themselves are against the terms..

2. Spamhaus has expanded their policies to include not just spamming ips but "suspected" and "precautions" based on suspicious rdns and rwhois configurations as well as range scans across networks and suspicious looking domains and whois info that may match rosko listing..

This sudden mismatch created an interesting problem for me as well as others I'd imagine. I got a single server on a large ISP and got hit with a collateral damage. The listing covers like 8 class-c's and lists all the domains found on the range (its ridiculously huge). I think it's even from another reseller or something and I'm just joined to them because I'm on the DC. Then on top of that it doesn't actually or specifically say the original offender spammed or hit any traps..

So now namecheap listed all the domains on my account that are listed on the listing and says I have 24 hours to contact the server provider and get that listing removed or else they'll null route my domains and take them. I asked them for justification and they said because using the domains to spam is against their terms of service. Either way they're dead serious on the 24 hr deadline..

Naturally since this is a large provider i'm sure they'll take care of the listing quickly but you see where I'm going with this? In about 7 hours I could lose all these domains for no logical reason..

No one actually spammed in the first place. They probably just didn't like the rwhois or rdns or something. I'm not part of that originating spammer nor is spamhaus saying I spammed. Yet namecheap feels the listing itself breaks the terms of service of No spamming allowed. This opens up a lot of scary scenarios where namecheap can steal your domains for any open spamhaus policy and call it part of their antispam policy simply because spamhaus is an antispam company..

Awkward!..

Your question was: Can someone share a GoDaddy voucher discount?.

I wish I was in your position. I hope you sue the shit out of namecheap..

Spamhaus won't talk to you directly. You'll have to go through your sever provider and then it will take more than 24 hours. I wish you the best of luck...

RICO is a U.S. based law. Haus claims they are a U.K. based non-profit, and enforcing the U.K. spam laws (paraphrased). Linford has some long drawn out drivel about CAM-SPAM and failures of U.S.

As for NC, they are not the only registrar in the Haus back pocket...

That's the point of RICO you get everyone in one net. They might not be in the US, but pretty much everyone else in the suit would be. At that point it doesn't matter if they exist or not if everyone has to stop using them that operate in the US...

The issue is to go after the ISP's that are using Haus! Once they get sued they will go tell Haus to kiss there ass. (If the suit is won.) Then Haus will be a worthles website. All it takes is one win in court to start the ball rolling. The other WILL fold!..

That would be like suing your local police for enforcing Federal laws. Or suing your mortgage bank for using a FICO score..

/2cts..

Yes but haus is working with a lot of U.S. Corporations, and are privy to illegal activities and extortion techniques. Methods that basically violate the constitution. If these companies are paying them for services and working in conjunction with them they become a Enterprise...

I am with Johny. There is a way of taking them down. It is a matter of time and money. (The few that have tried have gone about it in the wrong way.)..

Actually, you mean they (Spamhaus) are extorting U.S. companies with threats...
