Your question was: Can I eat a breakfast bar as a Nutrisystem snack in afternoon?.

You can move the foods around during the day like Gypsy suggested. Sometimes I have the dessert in the afternoon and the dairy/protein and fruit after dinner. The afternoon snack can be as simple as a LF cheese stick, a small non-fat latte, cottage cheese, or some cold cuts and FF cheese roll-ups, etc. all paired with a fruit...

I eat low fat string cheese and grapes for my snack fairly regularly. Pretty easy to transport if you have a way of keeping things cool. I believe you are supposed to be eating at regular intervals going no more than 4 hours between meals. This doesn't work for me but I try to make it work. Some times I need to eat at 2 hours again. Oh just a tip if you have trouble keeping items cool, freeze the grapes and pack with the cheese. When they are thawing they will help keep the cheese (or other dairy/protein) cool a little longer...

Lisa, you want to eat something every 2 to 3 hours if possible. You don't want to go longer than 4 hours without food if you can to keep your metabolism going. Split up your meals and have them throughout the day. For example, I have the Nutrisystem breakfast with my coffee/tea and then the dairy/protein and fruit an hour or two later. Lunch you can start with a huge salad, loaded up with veggies and your dairy/protein and then have the entree and hour or two later..

If you are hungry between meals snack on some of the free vegetables. Keep baby carrots, cucumbers, celery, peppers, etc. on hand.

Also, another convenient dairy/protein is the Muscle Milk light shake. They are sold in 4 packs at WalMart and Target. I keep them in the refrigerator as well as cheese sticks if I need a something to grab and run. The shakes have about double the protein of a cheese stick...

In the Target near me, the Muscle Milk Light in chocolate and vanilla was in the non-refrigerated shelves near the pharmacy. They were on the same shelf asitems such as the Zone Perfect bars, SlimFast, Clif Bars, etc...

No, on the shelf where the other nutrition bars and diet products are. I've seen Chocolate and Vanilla. I know there are other flavors (you can order on-line). If you do an advanced search on Muscle Milk, you should find a thread where people rated the flavors. I've only had the chocolate. Just make sure it is the Light version, as they also make other ones with much higher calorie counts...

I don't remember how much they are at Target. If you have a Rite Aid near you, they are buy one, get one 50% off ($7.99 for a 4-pack) through tomorrow. The one I went to didn't have any good flavors...I have to swing by the other store in my town...
