My first question is: Can I buy a domain name on GoDaddy and use it with iWeb and a .Mac account?.

My next question is: There email was:.

"TNGTech" <>.

Are these guys legit?.

I now know it's a scam after you quote a price, they will accept whatever, but how do they scam you AFTER you gave them a price?..

100% appraisal scam, how do I know?.

These 2 gave them in: if you reply to them, from hereon, they will say ok to whatever price you quote them and they will suggest with their appraisal services, in the long run, you'll be the scammed customer.

Secondly their email, they'll use their own HostGator and not free but still this can be cheated...

Definitely a scam! There are several threads here dating back over 3 years at least.

Whenever they put a title like President in their signature and say domains isn't their main business you know it is the appraisal scam...

Thank you guys, I could have lost my HostGator with this!.

<3 NP members.

But how exactly do they scam you after you quote a price?..

You would not have lost your HostGator name, they are not interested in it. They want you to pay from an appraisal from a service they actually own. It is just an appraisal scam, if you do a search on the forums you will find a ton of these...

They have you do an appraisal at some bullshit company which charges ridiculously for an appraisal and after paying for the appraisal, you won't be hearing from your so called buyer any more...

As long as you dun need to pay anything I guess it shud be ok but they pry on newbies hoping to earn some appraisal fee outof them..becareful..

I don't think this is legit.

TNG Techonology Consulting does exist. This company is in operation in Germany. Their managing directors are:.

Henric Klagges.

Gerhard Muller.

Christoph Stock.

This company uses their HostGator as an email addy such as <> not <>..

The scam will die when people stop falling for it, obviously that day isnt here yet.......

From PHR Software <.

We've have visited several online auctions. We are very interested in your HostGator name.

Just email me your price and we will consider it.

Of course, HostGator reselling is not a main direction of our business (we develop software). But HostGator aftermarket is hot now, so we are always interested in HostGator names.

Looking forward to do business with you.

Here is what I wrote back knowing it was a scam....

Hello, my price for .info is 80 million dollars. If you are still interested please don't hesitate to e-mail me back right away. There is also a 10 million dollar transfer fee for this highly sought after name. Thank You and good luck.

And his reply was....

If you kiss my ass I will pay you 90 million dolars.

LOL he got another good reply from me but I won't post that on here!..
