Your question was: Can anyone tell me if the godaddy.com site with the hosting is the hosting they offer with the site ?
By contacting the buyer and offering to broker you made lemonade from the lemons.
Not as good as getting it all, but not bad...
I had the same expetience... And I was rejected when contacting the new owner who bought the name from me.
That is a part of domaining.....
I had this happen about 10 times to me this year. Some I was able to work out deals for, some I was not. It seems for many domains, the first contact I get about them is the 9th-12th month that I owned the domain, or right away after purchase...

Hi..Gary, not really every day can like this day, look, that is your #1000 posts!.
So, have a good luck!..
Congrats! You are not a good domainer, you just got lucky...
So you sold the name for $5 and got a $300 offer afterwards, or did I miss something?..
Thanks, nothing wrong with luck.
Yes, I sold it for $5 after holding it for a year and right after I sold it a first offer of $300 came in.
From what I can comprehend, yes.
Same thing happened to me, sold a name at another forum for 200 and hadn't removed it from sedo yet. 3 days later get an offer for 1500, then 2000, then 2500 on sedo.
I cried myself to sleep that evening...
Yes, I had the same experience but somewhat less extreme. I sold a LLLL.com here at NamePros for about $50 and then the next morning the same name sold at TDNAM for $300. Tried to repurchase the name from the first buyer but with no success. The worst thing wasn't even the lost money as I almost lost my TDNAM account because of not following through with the sale. Thankfully the second buyer was understanding though and was happy to have the money refunded and I got away with a warning from TDNAM...
I was actually in escrow for 18K on a name 2 months ago - and was offered 25K and 35K by two other buyers. I stuck with my original deal (of course) - but it makes me physically ill at times to think of it.... along with domains I've sold waaay too cheap. like silverandgold.com for 2500...
