Quick question: Can a type 2 diabetic reverse the diagnosis with Dukan Diet and exercise? Thanks for any comment. Another question... I got the beef stew as one of my free week dinners and I never much cared for it. Does anyone have any ideas on doctoring it up. I though about cabbage and small can of v8. Anyone tried this???? Or something else maybe???..

Yup, although you might wanna make sure and wait for someone else to confirm this as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you ask the Dukan Diet guys because they can help better...

For the minimum approach: Just add some liquid (vegetable stock) and a grated clove of garlic, heat up, it will come to life..... Other idea: add a 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika, cumin and a pinch of of cinnamon to make a moroccan beef stew out of it.......

Moroccan beef stew! I love it! Another great idea! Thanks SKINNY_JNS4ME!..

Along with extra veggies, I add balsamic vinegar to the beef stew, gives it a sweeter tangier taste...

Thanks for those suggestions, I too dont like the beef stew and they sent me 4 servings of it on my first order..

I have been imaging what the heck I could do with it!..

I'm not condoning anything here, but I've heard from ....... unknown sources.........

.........that oyster crackers taste pretty good in the beef stew...

Thnaks for everyone's input. I think I'll go with extra veggies. I might try turnip. You know how they use them as a low GI veg in place of potatoes in South Beach. Plus I like the taste. I'll let you all know how it comes out.

I'm having it tonight, I'll let everyone know how it turned out..

P.S. I just added turnip to my ham and bean soup. It was good but what was I thinking? Two gassy foods at once! LOL..

I just had the "hearty beef stew" tonight for dinner. I fixed it in the microwave like usual, then dumped it onto a wedge of the Laughing Cow french onion flavor cheese. I stirred it up really well, enough to melt the cheese & it tasted great & was also creamier...

I was thinking of Greek yogurt to add to veggie fajita, but I'm wondering if it might also be good with the beef stew...mix it together with a bit of worcestershire or balsamic, then over toast as "chipped beef"...okay, I'm going to have to drag these out now.....

Use it to make Shepherd's Pie. Make mashed cauliflower (using steamed cauliflower and a fat serving for smart balance spread, put it in the Cuisinart)..

Take a soup bowl and put Beef Stew in the bottom, maybe boosted with some veggie burger crumbles, put some green veggies on top, then your cauli-taters, and some fat free cheddar cheese. Microwave it to heat it up good, then dig in. If you use veggie crumbles and cheese, you have to save a protein from your afternoon snack to fit it in. This is SUPER filling and seriously comfort food...

I roast an acorn squash with salt, pepper and cinnamon. Then saute onions or scallions in broth, add some tomato, red bell pepper, green beans...actually, any veggies I have on hand. Add in the beef stew. Heat till everything is very hot. Add in those Moroccan spices. Then spoon it into the hollowed out and roasted acorn squash. Even my husband says this is delicious!..

Wonderful recipes here! As it happens, I like the beef stew a lot just as it is but I can't wait to make beef veggie soup with it or some of the other suggestions...

I'm fixing the sheppard's pie tonight. Sounds great!!!! I already like the beef stew well enough, so I should really like this. I will add a little Cajun seasoning and a little low sodium beef broth...

I am going to have to try the shepard's pie next. I just simmered onions, peppers, celery, turnip in beef broth. I added the beef stew and green beans. When it was hot I added the laughing cow cheese. The cheese gave it a better flavor. I don't care for beef.

All great suggestions. BTW I added the cheese thinking I was really crazy and then I sqw Genedo did it too. LOL I think it really was good that way...
