Got a question... Can a Dukan Diet of mostly mushy, pureed or liquid foods be harmful? Hoping for any response. Another question on my mind: I made all kinds of version of oatmeal cookies lately, but this is the first version I really like, and simple to make. Hope, you enjoy it, too!.

1 NS.

Maple sugar oatmeal.

1/4 tsp baking soda.

1/4 c Fiber One bran (pulsed in food processor) (40 kcal).

1 ts brown splenda (free food).

2 dried peach halves, diced (fruit).

2 TB egg beaters (1/3 protein).

1 ts Parkay spreadable butter.

1 TB (real) or SF maple syrup (free food).

Preheat oven to 400 F. Mix all dry ingredients in small bowl, then add in wet ingredients and combine well. Scoop cookies on to sprayed baking sheet; it made six reasonably sized cookies for me. Bake cookies until lightly browned and slightly crispy (ca 12 min)..

1 breakfast entree + 1 fruit (cut the protein for that breakfast to be ok with calories) OR 2 desserts.

Here is another version made with cranberries instead of peach (recipe on blog)..

Yup, but you might want to make sure and wait for another member here to confirm it as I am not confident. Better yet, why don't you contact the Dukan Diet guys because they can help better...

The Fiber One really makes a difference for the taste, but I think as for dried fruits raisins, blueberries, cranberries or dried apples might work just as well......

Do you know you can use Fiber One for anything that requires bread crumbs?.

I got that this tip from my Hungry Girl Recipe Book. I've started using it a lot, I used it the other day to bake chicken (got that fried look without all of the fat), I use it for onion rings all the time. And you're getting more fiber! Which is definitely a big component to weight loss!..

Yes, it DEFINITELY has a great crunch (as opposed to regular wheat bran) and I like the flavor, too. Never used it for breading chicken but sounds like a great idea!..

Do you count the bran as anything? Is this a cereal or just bran?..

It's a cereal I think. Since I'm currently on Maintenance I don't worry about stuff like that (like what to count it as). I'm still losing weight so it hasn't hurt anything...

It's more on the cereal side, because it is sweet (1/4 cp is 40 kcal). To be on the correct side, it would be better to have 3 of the cookies as dessert (i.e. 2 desserts). For breakfast, I would skip the protein for the meal and count the 2 TB of eggbeaters, the butter replacement and the fiber one as caloric equivalent and not as free food...

Wow this looks fabulous! I've never bought Fiber One bran, would it just be in the regular cereal aisle?..
