Good question... I dunno what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an anything. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably can help you..
I make tomotao salsa- grape tomoatoes halved, fresh parsely, chopped red onion, grated lemon rind and lemon juice, and you can add alt and pepper if you want..
I cut up the chicken and put it in a wrap with the tomato mixture..
I got the chicken in my free weeks. It is not a keeper...
I didn't like the flavor of the chicken breast...texture was great but flavor not. The only way I liked it was when I poured some of my husband's Tom Yum Goon over it (thai soup).
I had seen a great buffalo chicken recipe w/the patty so I ordered 3 for next month. Hope I can disguise it well!..
[quote=losingw8now;3411414]i'm pretty sure it was jayzen..
There are two chickens - one which is a preformed patty and about 100 cals and the other which is 160 cals and people say has the texture more like real chicken. the 160 cal one is the one he and most prefer (i don't order and substitute with real chicken)..
I was thinking of doing that but am afraid I will go over on ounces and weight if I substitue my own chicken but I can not handle the taste of the one they sent me. I think I have 4 left and will try all your idea's. Thank you..
I don't know if I'm the one who said it, but I do this. I usually use 1 Tbsp. of bbq sauce, which I count as free. It is enough to flavor the chicken. I only use the grilled chicken breast (the other one I found to be nasty). I shred the chicken and heat it in a pan with the sauce.
It tastes really good to me. It's the only way I eat the chicken. Try it!..
Oh, also forgot to mention that the first thing I do is rinse the liquid stuff off of the chicken...
I actually like the chicken and have used it a variety of ways..
1. slice it up and add to grilled yellow and red peppers with some onion, spray with Butter Flavored Pam and a little pepper and a splash of water until tender and grilled. Roll in a whole grain tortia with grilled veggies, cilantro, tablespoon of salsa and ff sour cream. Yum Yum Yum. (I have also made a Chicken ranch wrap. Using again a whole grain tortia, grilled chicken breast, lettuce, chopped tomotoes, chopped red onion, ff ranch dressing.
2. sliced and topped over lettuce, veggies, salsa, etc for a Chicken Taco Salad..
3. I also enjoy the grilled chicken breast on an Arnolds Sandwich Thin with the following toppings:.
**sliced onions and mushrooms fried and topped with FF swiss cheese and a teaspoon of BBQ sauce.
**top with a teaspoon of mayo (fat serving) tomato and lettuce.
**Hawaiin Chicken Sandwich, add a slice of red onion, grilled pineapple ring, topped with FF Swiss cheese and bbq..
Ok, I have more uses for them but I don't want to take the risk and bore anyone. I actually really enjoy them!.
They must shoot 'em up with something though...have you seen the protein count and nutrition values? Off the charts in compared to regular chicken...those birds on steroids or what?.
I cut up either one of the Dukan Diet chickens into slices or cubed and throw into a skillet... Add some green pepper slices and some onions.. Sprinkle (heavy LOL) with fajita seasoning... use 1/2 tsp of white wine.. Sautee in the skillet until meat and veggies are cooked good..
Grab The veggie fajita mix and took it as directed, then add the fajita mix to the Chicken/Veggie Mix and cook a bit longer, sprinkle with more fajita seasoning if desired..
Serve on WW Tortilla Shell.. Top with lettuce.. tomatoes, salsa etc.....
Bam.. Chicken fajita..
Just remember.. Do NOT eat the whole meal.. Only about half since you use two Dukan Diet entrees and save the other half for another night...
Thanks for all of the great ideas! Hadn't thought of some variations...this will make chicken New again...
