Got a question... AUTISM.........WHAT CAN PARENTS DO < BESIDES THE Dukan Diet{going crazy}? Looking forward for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Does anyone have any good Dukan Diet friendly recipes using fresh cranberries? I bought a container at the grocery store today and am looking for some yummy ideas..

Good question... I dunno what is the answer. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I bump into an anything. You should email the people at Dukan Diet as they probably can help you..

Homemade Whole-Berry Cranberry Sauce:.

1 cup boiling water.

1 cup Splenda.

3 cups fresh Cranberries.

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla.

Splash of orange juice.

Bring water and Splenda to a boil. Stir in cranberries and return to boil. Let simmer until berries "pop.".

Stir in vanilla and orange juice..

Chill before serving...

I use Whey Low instead of SplendaBag of cranberries, 1/2 cup Whey Low, !/3 bag of frozen mango pieces , and cover with water. I have been filling my freezer with the bags of cranberries at this time of year. Crabberries are so healthy. I even put the cranberrie sause on cottage cheese...

I made this tonight and it is delish! Thanks for sharing the recipe Pam. I'm thinking it would be good on top of oatmeal, pancakes or mixed in with yogurt. What are some ways that you eat it?..

Yes it does taste awesome! Pam, I made this recipe last night and chilled it over night, then ate some of it as a snack today, mixed with cubes of SF strawberry jello. YUMMY! Thanks again Pam...

I trained as a chef in 7 countries of the Orient and in France (and I'm in banking, go figure!). I've taught cooking classes in private homes and at two university extension programs. Over the last 3 years, I've created so many NutriSystem friendly recipes, maybe I should put together a book...LOL.

Ok, I've never bought cranberries before. What are "good" fresh ones supposed to look like, please?.

Cranberries, most of which are harvested in the Fall, are deep red in color when ripe. The berries should be firm. They can be frozen for up to 9 months...

One bag fresh cranberries.

Bring water and Splenda to a boil. Stir in cranberries and return to boil. Let simmer until berries "pop.".

Add two chopped (seeded) jalapeno peppers, 1/2 tsp cumin, tablespoon or more chopped cilantro, juice of half a lime..

Chill before serving..

You can also cut back on the sweetener to 1/2 to 2/3 cup, depending on your tastes. I also "mashed" my second batch to make it more of a jellygreat over FF cream cheese on a pita slice...

1/2 cup fresh cranberries = 30 calories.

1 cup Splenda = 96 calories.

Vanilla only has 7 calories a Tablespoon and I use a teaspoon.

Splash of orange juice is less than 1/4 cup.

Total of recipe: 300 calories.

60 calories (1/5th of recipe) would be a fruit serving.

30 calories (1/10th of recipe) would be a vegetable serving.

20 calories (1/15th of recipe) would be a free food..
