Hello everyone. I'm brand new to the program. I have not received my food, yet, but ordered on Friday. I'm excited to begin..

Is anyone on here doing the vegetarian plan and if so, are you losing weight?.

Also, do you find you are getting enough protein, vitamins and minerals?.

I almost tried the vegetarian plan. I was a vegetarian for 6 yrs, but fell off the wagon one Thanksgiving! Most of the meals I chose are vegetarian though. As for nutrition I suspect you will get enough protein, but I don't know about vitamins and minerals. Def not B-12. You only get that from meat, but you could always try a supplement. Good luck!..

Hey, good luck to you!! And yay vegetarianism! I am on women's vegetarian plan and find that protein is definitely not a problem. I usually eat nonfat Greek yogurt for a low-cal, high-protein add-in, along with Morningstar sausage, eggs, tofu, Boca burgers, or edamame a few times a week (plus daily calcium supplement and vitamin D because my level was low).

I have lost weight on the program (14 lbs in ~2 mos.) but find I have to exercise at a moderate/intense level (which I enjoy) and/or cut out the morning snack and the dinner fruit to keep my calories low (but still healthy). Disclaimer: That's a personal preference based on my goals and situation and not advice.

There really is a lack of dinner options for vegetarians, so I'm getting bored as I go into my third month, and trying to recommit to 100% adherence for at least another month. Try to find ways to mix it up, find spices you like and change the taste of meals as a way to add variety as you go thru the months. I find everything quite tasty but would love more selections, including making the mac & cheese vegetarian. (Hint, hint NS)..

After doing the Nutrisystem plan 100% (full 28 days) the first month to make sure that I knew the plan well and got through the major mental and physical changes (i.e., shrinking the stomach), I started to do some meals and/or days with my own foods following the Nutrisystem guidelines. My favorite "On Your Own" dinners include Amy's vegetarian baked beans with veggie dogs, Boca Burger with cheese, baby spinach, and ketchup on a Western Bagel English muffin (100 calories for the muffin), fried egg sandwich, and home-made minestrone soup. You can then delay your AD as needed by calling or emailing NS, and then you can still keep your discounts and promotions.
