Your question was: Anyone ever used Godaddy?.
Why do you need to talk to him? I have never had to talk to someone to sell a domain. That was bad enough, but then you had to call him? This is not your standard sale, that is for sure..
I hate to be negative, but I think you are setting yourself up. Where someone lives has never been a factor when selling a domain, not in this age of computers. He doesn't have email? You can't communicate on the internet?.
If you can't communicate with him this way, does that mean he doesn't have a computer? If he doesn't have a computer, then why does he need a domain?.
I may be way off base here, but it just doesn't add up. Sounds like he gonna ask you if he can make payments!.
It is quite possible for an Indian like me not to understand anything if an Aussie or an American or a British talk to me over the phone So I believe the guy might be having a real interest in your HostGator despite his bad english. I will suggest you to ask him to communicate over messenger and email. But if he says 'No Escrow' or 'No Wire Transfer', ask him humbly to go to hell..
I don't have a computer, I online from internet cafe..
Its quite common for Indians not to understand american english.
I stay in India and speak fairly good english and hindi. Let me know if you want my help.
PS.: Make sure you use escrow for the transaction...
Just contact him/her via email or let him/her join namepros much better...
You'd better use the IM soft.eg MSN & ICQ.
Please study the english contact.after,go on sale.
My english is poor...so I only want to study a simple contact style.
I know the english is very important.espcialy in HostGator state...
I am from India and I have never faced this kind of problem...
Greg - The best way to communicate would be via e-mail if he doesn't understand your accent over the phone. Ask him whether he is willing to use Escrow.com and split the fees..
It is very much possible that he is legit and is facing language and communication problems.
I also live in India, so just shoot me a PM if you need any help, forget the communication fee..
