Quick question... Any suggestions for motivation to stay on Nutrisystem? Hoping for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Anyone have a list or menu of what to get at subway or other "fast food" places if you find yourself at one of these places? Or should these places be avoided at all costs....

Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some Googling and get back to you if I got an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could give you help..

If you gained your weight eating at those places, then they should be avoided at all costs! I think the revenues are down at In-n-Out burger in my town since I started NS. I order a lot of the Trail Mix bars and keep several in my car in case I am not around a place to heat myNutrisystemfood. I have even had two for lunch on a day when I left my cooler of add-ins at home by accident...

You can eat at Subway if you are careful. Wheat bread, no cheese, a fat free dressing and I get turkey or ham with lots of veggies. I sometimes eat only one piece of the breadlike an open faced sandwich. Just don't get chips with it. They do have yogurt and apples as subs for that..

Chik-fil-A is another where I can eat sensibly. I get their Southwest Chargrilled Chicken Salad with the no fat honey mustard dressing. I do not put the tortilla strips in and take out the cheese. I count the corn in it as my carb. (The cheese would probably be OK as a protein except I count the chicken as my entree and extra protein)..

At Wendy's I can get a small chili and a side salad with fat free dressing..

Once in a while I get a small smoked turkey on rye sandwich from Schlotsky's with a side salad..

While all the options will work once in a while, it is not a good idea to do this regularly as calorie counts may be higher than normal and sodium will always be higher. But, there are good alternatives out there if you get caught in a situationthere really is no excuse to go for the burger.

What nutritional info am I looking for if I eat out?.

Calories, fat, carbs, sodium? And how much of them?..

Mnay times I don't have a choice but to eat out when I work, so I would choose Subway instead. I was putting on the weight by eating junk at Applebees, Chili's, local faves, etc. But going to Subway helped. It was my "big" meal. I had the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriayki (sp) on the honey oat bread, no cheese, lots of lettuce (so much I needed a fork), a side of apples (which most of time I took with me to eat later) and a diet lemonade. When I started changing the way I ate when I did go out, the weight started to come off.

More salads with low fat dressings, or grilled chicken, rice and veggies (then only eat half the meal)..

Coming toNutrisystemputs structure and portion control in my life!..

In weight loss mode I avoid eating out as much as I can, because I don't sub myNutrisystemmeals (I am a 100%-er!). However, I have four kids and there are times we are out and I need to get food for them. Subway is an easy place for me to get a salad with lots of veggies and fat free dressing on the side (I don't add cheese, sometimes add Turkey if I haven't used my protein add-ins)...

I actually used to work at subway I may be able to help with this.

First of all never ever ever ever get the cookies. yes they are delicious but 1 cooke has 200 calories!!.

As for the sandwiches, the omega bread has the most nutrients and is pretty good. One trick is to ask for it with the bread taken out, so it's not as doughy and less bread but still tastes awesome! they have a list of sandwiches under 7 grams of fat. I recommed the turkey, or a club which is ham turkey and roast beef. the cheese there is really fatty, it's best to just avoid it. I love them toasted too..

Pile on the veggies so it's filling, and get the oil and vinegar dressing, no ranch or creamy southwest. both reall really fattening!.

If you get a six inch, cut it in half and have a three inch and save the other half for later, because a six inch is too big for one meal..

Oh and of course there are salads, you can get a mix of lettuce and spinach with the oil and vinegar, with grilled chicken or turkey, i've always disliked the salads there and usually I love salad.

I know more secrets if anyone has questions..
