Good question... I dunno what is the answer. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably could answer your Nutrisystem question..
I remember doing this. I never guesstimated properly what my calories actually were. I'd drink diet soda and "A" water, instead of the other way around. I'd have a bite of this or that, not really a lot. A few days of this and my scale was laughing at me..
Good news; you could not of gained 10 real pounds. Keep flushing your system with water. Please don't' be ashamed. You're learning better habits and this is part of the path. Take care..
It'll be gone before you know it! This is why I always give myself exactly 7 days when I get home from vacation before I weigh...same thing happens to me...
Mcakes, there's no way you gained 10 pounds in four days! Wouldn't that be 35,000 calories above and beyond what your body needed?? Chin up and back on program! You can do it!.
This is just a little bump in the road!..
OK, logically, not all of that is actual weight gain... like Pam suggested, very likely water retention from too much sodium in restaurant meals. 10lbs is 35,000 calories more than you burned, and you probably burned more on vacation, and that's a LOT of calories to eat in 4 days! I doubt you did THAT badly if you were being sensible..
Be Scarlet O'Hara. Tomorrow is another day! No use worrying about what happened yesterday, you can just make the future right. =)..
Yeah, no way could you have gained that! Probably sodium. Is your "bathroom schedule" off? Could be that, too. Also, make sure you're not PMSing. I can put on 5 lbs a few days before and into my TOM..
Just get back on plan, drink lots of water, eat low sodium foods...
Thank you! I needed that very badly. I just got back on the horse, feel a little bruised though! I weighed and I already lost 3 of those pounds. What I have got to learn that scales are not my friend!!! I have got to stay away from them and just weigh less often. It is very hard to do. Thanks everyone for your encouragement..
Also, I find that when I get on an airplane for a trip, I automatically gain three pounds. It takes at least two days for me to get the scale to cooperate. Knowing this, like luv_4_my_kids, I usually skip my weekly weigh in on travel weeks because I just don't need the stress..
This week, I am traveling (on the plane on my way home as I type) and it is that TOM, so I probably gained 5-8 pounds in water weight. Guess who is NOT getting on a scale until next week?!?.
I am glad you've dropped 3 already - you will be much happier next week!..
Oh man, so that explains why my scale looked at me funny today. Travel last week for work and not near enough water. Wow!!..
