Your question was: Anxiety with weight loss with Nutrisystem.
Just keep going. Weight loss makes the biggest appearance difference at the end. That's just the way it is...
Congrats on your weight loss!! Keep up the great work!..
Also be aware that your own body image is probably distorted. Now that I have lost weight, I am frequently told how much younger I lookbut all I can see ae the wrinkles that are now visible that the fat used to hide. I've learned to take on faith what ohters are saying about me...
I can relate-I just had this conversation with one of my coworkers today. I am down 19 lbs, my goal is 25, and most days when I look in the mirror I don't see much of a change. They say the last thing to change is the way you see yourself. I went shopping this weekend and automatically picked out med shirt when in reality what I ended up buying was xsmall. Not even close to how I see myself! So just keep trucking along, that's all you can do!..
Congratulations on winning that dance contest. You are doing a great job. Remember that once a goal is achieved or a deadline is past you can feel a let down. You need to really take some time to enjoy the victory that you've just had. Celebrate! (But without turning to food to celebrate.) Realize as other's have said that your own body image is probably distorted right now. Use other aides to determine how you are doing...
Then set yourself a new short term goal. Is there another dance competition you can sign up for? What about a 5K? Or maybe mastering a new skill? It sounds like you were really motivated to get ready for your competition, so look for something new to do for the next month or so...
