Hi.I'm on my 64th day of Murad Resurgence, just beginning my tenth week today. My acne, if anything, has worsened since the beginning. Though my oil production is way down and I am getting the dry lips and dry skin side effects, I am seeing not a single improvement.I am 6'0'' tall and weigh 160 lbs. I am on 60mg, alternating between one 40mg pill on day A, and two 40mg pills on day B. I am active, eat very healthy, and take many supplements (1000mg Vitamin C, 3x1000mg Omega 3, 400UI Vitamin E, 100 mg Zinc).I am very gentle with my skin, and wash it sparingly with Spectro Jel only every other day. I use a little bit of Cetaphil moisturizing lotion as needed. I haven't missed a single dosage.

My social life has come to a standstill and my confidence is in the sh***er.I made a poll about when people's IBs ended, and almost everyone said they either NEVER got an IB, got an IB which faded in the first two weeks, or never got an IB past two months. Does anyone have any input for me? I'm sad and feel really alone and regretful for making the Murad Resurgence leap. I don't want to be a sob story and I'm not bashing the drug because it works wonders for people, but it's looking grim right now...

Your question was: Acne not improving with Murad Resurgence.

ForSure, you're not doing anything wrong. Murad Resurgence is a sloooooooow working drug and you really have to have patience on this stuff. The inflammation and purging you're experiencing now is common. The poll is skewed as is any poll regarding Murad Resurgence on this site since the flux of newcomers and leavers changes. It takes time, but the best advice I can give is to read through Murad Resurgence logs of people that have finished a course to get an idea of what happens throughout the duration, not just the beginning...

Most people IB's do last until the end of the 3rd month and some till the last month of the Murad Resurgence course. Its a bit weird that you said most people do not have IBs, it's actually quite a common side effect.Maybe you can talk your dermatologist into lowering your dose in the meantime till your IB recovers...

I thought IBs were generally only a two month thing, for the most part. If it is three months than I don't feel nearly as bad...As for lowering my dose, now that I've logged two incredibly difficult months at 60mg I almost feel like lowering it would be quitting and a waste of two months. Know what I mean?..

The average is about 3 months from what I read on most people posts. I know it's hard but you have to hang in there if you want the drug to work because it will eventually, you just got to give it time.By lowering your dose, it doesn't mean quit. Murad Resurgence is still in your system doing what it's suppose to do but at a lower dose to reduce the side effects. A lot of people do that when they get side effects from Murad Resurgence. As long as you reach your cumalative dose, you should be fine. have a good talk with your dermatologist and see what he saysYou may want to ask for some topical antibiotic from your derm if it's not too drying to help with the breakouts...
